Teen Drug Treatment

At Echo Malibu’s teen drug treatment center we provide teens and their families with high-tech, all-inclusive, holistic teen drug treatment programs. We consider all factors when treating teen drug abuse taking into account all of the troubled teen’s physical, mental and social conditions. All teen drug treatment program participants are provided with an individualized teen drug treatment plan. What sets Echo Malibu apart from the rest is that we believe in analyzing whole system of beliefs rather than its individual components. Each teen drug treatment program is designed and implemented by certified medical professionals to identify and treat the underlying causes of teen drug addiction, rather than just focusing on the behaviors and actions that result from teen drug addiction.

While each of our intensive, individual youth treatment programs is unique, they do share the following areas of focus; Physical Health, Emotional Health, Social Health, Family Health, Spiritual Health and Educational Needs. We know that in order to really beat the troubled teen’s drug abuse we need to fight the teen drug abuse from all angles. A teen’s total health is made up of the above areas. We at Echo Malibu know that in order to treat a troubled teen all of them need to be addresses one way or another. Now although we want to cover all areas of far as any teen we treat is concerned, we use different methods for different troubled teens.

For example, while we treat the teen’s physical health, we use a variety of therapies. Of course we need to the required evaluations such as medical and nutritional and a biofeedback assessment. More needs to be done to treat a teen besides running tests. In addition to the standard tests we offer yoga, massage and recreational therapies.
When a teen suffers from teen chemical dependency can have complex emotional underpinnings effects. That is why no matter what the therapy consists of; all of the therapies are conducted by licensed clinical therapists. Besides group and individual therapies we offer other ones like family and per-assisted therapies. Many a time, teens have a hard time expressing themselves and need other outlets to show how they feel inside. Emotional therapies also consist of expressive arts therapies, art therapy, drama therapy, music therapy, dance/movement therapy and poetry therapy.

When a teen is involved in drugs, the teen’s social relationships may have suffered. Many teens find themselves feeling awkward around others. The teen’s social skills need to be reaffirmed. Echo Malibu’s teen drug treatment program follows the twelve steps throughout the social health therapy. Our teen drug treatment program also equips teens with the social tools needed to make them a stronger person.
